Boulder City has become a very popular place to call home in Nevada due to the mountain and desert surroundings. The natural landscape found throughout offers something many enjoy.
The city is located in Clark County about 26 miles southwest of Las Vegas. It’s home to more than 15,000 residents and the city is one of only two Nevada cities prohibiting gambling.

There are several things to do throughout the Boulder City area, but the main attraction is certainly the Hoover Dam. The historic Downtown area is also very popular with plenty of businesses found throughout including the Boulder Dam Hotel, which is also home to the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum.
In addition, Boulder City is close to Lake Mead, Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park, the Alan Bible Botanical Garden and the Nevada Southern Railroad Museum. The city also hosts a couple of larger events including The Dam Short Film Festival, That Dam Guy Stole My Car Festival and the Get Off My Damn Lawn Gardening Festival.
Boulder City also provides the Boulder City Municipal Golf Course, the Boulder Creek Golf Course and a private golf club for residents to enjoy. There’s a city pool, tennis courts, plenty of hiking trails and a racquetball complex, as well. Residents can also enjoy plenty of water activities with Lake Mead just a few miles away.
